Business Tips from the audio archives

Sometimes you may have time to catch up with background material on the train, in the car or just wish for another medium than reading.  I have gathered three audio tips from the archives that you may just wish to sit back, relax and listen to and enjoy.  They fit into three categories, namely, strategy, marketing, people development.

1.  Strategy:  The 3 Ps to Business Success audio

2. Marketing: How to make recommendations powerful audio

3.  People Development:  Using Learning Styles to Develop your team audio

Reading: As we enter April, it is time for another book and this month I am featuring “Leading the Board: The Six Disciplines of World Class Chairmen”: Prof Andrew Kakabadse and Dr Nada Kakabadse (2007).   This was recommended to me by my co-leader from our Chairing Masterclass programme which we have been delivering to Clinical Commissioning Groups.

Lighter Reflections:  Our son Guy is having our Easter holiday as he is scuba-diving in the Red Sea.  I reflect on a parent’s never-ending troubles when their child is away.  If they call it is generally because they are bored, unhappy or need something.  So far Guy has called me to say that he had run out of handwash, cannot find his sunscreen or his shampoo.  My solution for him?  He could always try the soap and water and maybe he should look in his washbag in that dark cavern of mystery called his suitcase!  Then if he doesn’t call, I worry that he has been kidnapped, drowned or attacked by jelly fish, sharks or some other deep-sea creature not yet known to man.  Of course its more likely that he is having too much fun to think about his poor old mum chewing her nails back at home.
